history

The hall was opened in 1939 and was named Aréna Dave-Keon until 2010 , after Dave Keon , who is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame and comes from Rouyn-Noranda. The home games of the local ice hockey team Huskies de Rouyn-Noranda from the QMJHL are played in the hall. In August 2010, the hall was renamed Aréna Iamgold through the sale of the naming rights to the mining company Iamgold ( International African Mining Gold Corporation ) from Toronto .
