Labor Court Giessen

The Gießen labor court, a labor court system , is one of the seven labor courts in Hessen .

Seat and District of the Court

The court has its seat in Giessen .

It is locally responsible for legal disputes from the district court districts of Alsfeld (with the exception of the communities Freiensteinau, Grebenhain, Herbstein, Lauterbach, Lautertal, Schlitz, Ulrichstein and Wartenberg), Büdingen , Friedberg , Gießen and Nidda .

As of December 31, 2011, the labor courts of Wetzlar and Marburg were dissolved and their districts were added to that of the Giessen labor court. From the labor court of Wetzlar these were the district court districts of Dillenburg and Wetzlar and from the labor court of Marburg the district court districts of Biedenkopf , Frankenberg (Eder) , Kirchhain , Marburg and Schwalmstadt .

Building and size

Former courthouse on Friedrich-List-Strasse

Until January 2012, the labor court was located on Friedrich-List-Straße in the Gießen industrial park. After moving, it can now be found in the city center and can be reached via Schiffenberger Weg. The postal address is: Aulweg 45, 35392 Giessen .

The Giessen Labor Court has 13 chambers , but only 11 of them are occupied.

Superior courts

The Hessian State Labor Court with its seat in Frankfurt am Main is superordinate to the Giessen Labor Court ; This in turn is superordinate to the Federal Labor Court in Erfurt .
