Old Königstadt industrial estate

The name Archimedes Exhibitions is an acronym for the terms architecture , media and design and is intended to symbolize the company's comprehensive approach. According to Archimedes' own statement, the company philosophy excludes orders in the context of nuclear power , weapons or hostility to democracy and internally promotes the compatibility of family and career as well as a high work-life balance .

The agency has been a member of the Gewerbehof Saarbrücker Straße eG cooperative since 2005 . The studios and workshops are located on the grounds of the Alte Königstadt in Berlin, Prenzlauer Berg .

Exhibition design and construction

Archimedes Exhibitions follows the so-called storytelling approach , in which congruent narratives are formed from complex content and abstract messages. These are translated into emotionally appealing, spatial and multimedia experiences in the form of interactive exhibits, exhibitions and apps. For each exhibition project, an individual concept for the staging and user experience is created , which includes scenography , interaction, graphics, media and product design as well as programming. Archimedes offers an Exhibition Management System for controlling the hardware of an exhibition and the content of media stations. The agency implements all the steps in the creation process of an exhibition, an exhibit or an app from the concept to the production itself, as it has its own approx. 1,000 square meter workshop.

The agency's exhibition projects are often in the field of science communication and combine the aspects of education and entertainment to form what is known as edutainment . They aim to convey knowledge in an entertaining, multimedia and interactive way. The topics range from biodiversity and the human body to astronomy and physics to media history and artificial intelligence . Among other things, Archimedes realized the Expedition Future exhibition in the Science Express exhibition train and the Science Tunnel for the Max Planck Society and designed permanent and special exhibitions for museums and science centers, for example for the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum in Paderborn, the Museum for Communication Frankfurt , the NEMO Science Museum in Amsterdam or the Città della Scienza in Naples .

Archimedes also develops and produces brand worlds, brand spaces and themed exhibitions for international companies. Examples are the demography exhibition Ey Alter! for Daimler AG , the ENERGY IN MOTION exhibition in Tour Total Berlin for Total Germany or the SHIFT sustainability exhibition in the Volkswagen DRIVE Forum in Berlin. For the latter, Archimedes designed a modular and environmentally friendly exhibition system that was used sustainably after the show. Furniture for the Arche children's and youth welfare organization in Berlin-Hellersdorf was created from the exhibition modules in collaboration with BAU International Berlin - University of Applied Sciences .
