Armin Kalinowski

Armin Kalinowski (born March 12, 1961 in Rinteln ) is a general staff doctor (wearing an army uniform) in the Central Medical Service of the Bundeswehr and since November 24, 2016 the commander of the Regional Medical Support Command in Diez .

Military career

Kalinowski joined the Bundeswehr as a temporary soldier for 2 years in 1981 . He was used as a medical sergeant in the Army Aviation Squadron 900 in Bückeburg . In 1983 he was accepted as a medical officer candidate . In the same year he began studying human medicine at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . From 1989 Kalinowski worked as an intern in the clinic for internal medicine at the Bundeswehr hospital in Ulm . 1990 was the approval as a doctor issued. In the same year Kalinowski continued his training as a training assistant in the same department. In 1992 the doctorate to Dr. med. From 1992 to 1995 he was employed as a troop doctor and aviation doctor at the Army Aviation School in Bückeburg. From 1995 to 1997 Kalinowski was employed in the Department of Operations Management and Operations Planning, Abbot III 1 (4) at the Army Support Command in Mönchengladbach . From 1997 to 1998 Kalinowski continued his training as a further training assistant surgery at the Bundeswehr Hospital in Hamm . In 2001, Kalinowski was appointed as Referent II 3 in the inspection of the medical service in the Federal Ministry of Defense in Bonn . In the same year, he was again transferred to the personnel office of the Bundeswehr, where he was first employed as Head of Department IV 2 until 2005 and then as Head of Department IV until 2008. In 2008, Kalinowski became Head of Division FüSan II 3 (Personnel Principle) in the management staff of the medical service in the Federal Ministry of Defense in Bonn. In 2011 another ministerial assignment followed as Head of Section FüSK II 6 (Health Care Control) at the command staff of the armed forces , also in Bonn. In 2013, Kalinowski succeeded General Doctor Erhard Grunwald as chief physician at the Bundeswehr Hospital in Ulm . Associated with this was the promotion to general doctor. On November 10, 2016, he handed over this post to Doctor Colonel Ralf Hoffmann . On November 24, 2016, he took over his current post from General Staff Doctor Dirk Raphael as Commander Command Regional Medical Support. On April 27, 2018, he was promoted to General Staff Doctor in this post.
