The Atlantic Hockey is an American university and college sports league , which is primarily based in the northeastern United States. It belongs to the Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association and is an all-male Hockey - Conference . From 1997 to 2003, Atlantic Hockey was part of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).
