Atu-Aben ( Atu Aben ) is an East Timorese Suco in the administrative office of Bobonaro ( Bobonaro municipality ). The main place is called Atuaben . The Suco is part of the Marobo region .

Before the 2015 regional reform, Atu-Aben had an area of ​​3.78 km². Now it is 4.74 km². South of Atu-Aben is Suco Malilait , Soileco to the east and Ilat-Laun to the north . To the west is the Maliana administrative office with its Suco Ritabou . The border with Maliana is the Anaslota (later Anasola ) river, which is part of the Lóis river system . The same goes for the Bulobu , which rises in the border area with Soileco and continues to flow there to the east. The place Atuaben is in the south, in the center the village Belual ( Beluat ) and in the north the village Talite . In Atuaben there is a primary school, the Escola Primaria Atuaben .

In the Suco are the two Aldeias Atuaben and Talite .

Residents

860 inhabitants live in the Suco (2015), of which 408 are men and 452 women. The population density is 181.4 inhabitants / km². There are 144 households in the Suco. Over 85% of the population name Kemak as their mother tongue. Over 10% speak Tetum Prasa and a small minority speak Bunak .

politics

In the elections of 2004/2005 was Inacio elected Chefe de Suco. Justino S. Barreto won the elections in 2009 and Januaryio Fernandes in 2016 .
