August Louis Emil Achatius von Kortzfleisch (born April 25, 1811 in Krausen , Stallupönen district , † January 7, 1890 in Erfurt ) was a Prussian major general .

August was a son of Friedrich Otto von Kortzfleisch (1758–1836) and his wife Charlotte, born von Lebbin (1783–1865). His father was a Prussian Rittmeister as well as a gentleman on Worplack and Krausen. He still had fourteen siblings.

Military career

Kortzfleisch visited the cadet houses in Kadett and Berlin .
