Today the St. The parish church consecrated to Joseph has its origins in the second half of the 15th century. It is very likely that it was built over an older building. The nave of the Gothic pillar basilica has four bays, with the central nave opening to the aisles in low pointed arcades. Above the south aisle there are upper clad windows from the 18th century, while on the north side this area is taken up by the gallery that was added later.

On July 4, 1898, the Ober-Grafendorf station went into operation.

At that time, the station consisted of the reception building, a warehouse, the loading ramp and a water station. The track system comprised 6 points, 3 continuous tracks and a stump track. In the following years the station was often rebuilt or expanded. In the period 1917/18 the station presented itself to the following extent: a carriage hall, a workshop building, two halls with 9 stands, a transfer platform and all the tracks leading to the workshop facilities were added to the existing structure. The roundhouse and the train conveyor systems were under construction. In 1918 the hub of St. Pölten Alpenbahnhof was moved here. In 1960 the entire workshop moved to St. Pölten. Over the years, of course, the track systems have also been renovated or rebuilt. This work was also modernized, e.g. B. slim switches were installed and the iron masts replaced by concrete masts. Finally, since 1999, when operational changes (complete suspension of freight traffic) resulted in further changes to the track systems, the station has largely presented itself as it is today. At the end of 2010, the station lost further importance, as the railway branching off here to Mank (previously to Ruprechtshofen and Wieselburg), also known as "Krumpe", was discontinued. In the roundhouse and in the adjoining area you will find numerous parked nostalgic vehicles that are looked after by the Mh.6 Railway Club.
