The first secured documentary mention of Hausenbach Castle is from 1237/1238. In the 16th century, the Romanesque complex was converted into a Renaissance castle. The main building was later gutted and used as a bulk box , which is why the interior is no longer available. The external appearance, with six-storey tower and a long house-like grown Palas , reminiscent of a medieval church.
