Platforms

The Unterhaching stop is a Deutsche Bahn stop on the Munich East – Deisenhofen line in Unterhaching . The stop is served by the S3 line of the Munich S-Bahn , which runs between Mammendorf and Holzkirchen . The station building is registered as a monument in the Bavarian list of monuments.

history

The current S-Bahn stop was in 1898 in the course of the completion of the local railway line Munich East - Deisenhofen of the Kgl. Bavarian State Railways opened together with the stations Giesing , Fasangarten and Taufkirchen . In 1901 the station building with waiting hall was built.

S-Bahn traffic started on the then single-track line on May 28, 1972. On November 20, 1997, the Federal Railway Authority's plan approval decision was made for the double-track expansion of the line between the Munich-Giesing and Deisenhofen stations . Connected to the double-track expansion was the construction of new outer platforms at the Fasangarten, Fasanenpark, Unterhaching and Furth stops as well as the handicapped-accessible expansion of the existing platforms including Deisenhofen.

The Unterhaching stop has two tracks, with all trains in the direction of Munich stopping on track 1 and all trains in the direction of Holzkirchen stopping on track 2 . The reception building with a kiosk is right next to platform 1 and bus platforms 1 and 2 are next to it.

The two outer platforms are 210 m long and 96 cm high. Both platforms can be reached without steps, one at the same level and the other via a ramp.

The reception building has a floor area of ​​around 10 × 8 meters. It is a two-story brick building with a crooked roof . The window frames are decorated with house stone , the gables are paneled with wood . To the north of the reception building is an approximately 12 × 6 meter closed single-storey waiting hall with a gable roof . Next to the reception building is the also listed building of the former train station restaurant .

The Unterhaching stop is served every 20 minutes by the S-Bahn line S3 , which runs between Mammendorf and Holzkirchen . Neighboring stations are the Fasanenpark stop in the direction of Mammendorf and the Taufkirchen stop in the direction of Holzkirchen.
