Baixo Mondego is a statistical sub-region of Portugal . It is part of the Região Centro and the District of Coimbra . The region borders Baixo Vouga and Dão-Lafões in the north, Pinhal Interior Norte in the east, Pinhal Litoral in the south and the Atlantic Ocean in the west . Area: 2062 km².
