The 1919/20 Baltic football championship of the Baltic Lawn and Winter Sports Association was won by Stettiner FC Titania in the final tournament with two points ahead of VfL Danzig . This was the first win of the Baltic football championship for the Szczecinians, who qualified for the German football championship 1919/20 . In the quarter-finals, Stettin met SV Arminia Hannover in Kiel and surprisingly beat them 2-1 after extra time. It was the first time ever that a club from the Baltic Lawn and Winter Sports Association was able to survive the first round of the German soccer championship. In the semifinals, Stettin then lost to 1. FC Nürnberg with 0: 3.

Mode and overview

As in the last season before the First World War , the clubs in the Baltic Lawn and Winter Sports Association were divided into three circles in the 1919/20 season, the district champions qualified for the final round of the Baltic football championship. In all three districts there were several district classes, the winners of which played the respective district champion in a final round.

District I East Prussia

The district of East Prussia was divided into four districts this season, the district champions met in a final round to determine the East Prussian football champions. The number of districts has been increased for the coming season.

District II Danzig / West Prussia

The district of West Prussia was divided into two districts, the winners of which played the district championship in a final game. For the coming season, the area West Prussia moved to District I East Prussia, Danzig remained in District II, this was renamed District II Danzig for the coming season.

Final round of the Baltic football championship

The final round of the Baltic football championship was held in the 1919/20 season in a round-robin tournament. The champions from the 3 district classes were qualified. The Stettiner FC Titania prevailed with two wins and was allowed to participate in the final of the German football championship for the first time . It was the first club from Pomerania to win the Baltic football championship.
