The Bannu District is an administrative district in Pakistan in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province . The seat of the district administration is the city of the same name Bannu .

The district has an area of ​​1,227 km² and, according to the 2017 census, 1,167,892 inhabitants. The population density is 952 inhabitants / km².

The district is located in the south of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, which is in the north of Pakistan.

Demographics

Between 1998 and 2017 the population grew by 2.92% annually.
