Barbara Kaudelka (born February 27, 1981 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actress and speaker.

Life

Barbara Kaudelka was born in Vienna and grew up there and in Weißenkirchen in the Wachau . After graduating from high school in 1999, she studied history and journalism and initially worked as a freelance journalist a. a. in various national media, including the NÖN-Krems . In 2002 she began her acting studies at the Vienna Conservatory , which she graduated in 2006.

Career

Engagements at the theater followed, including at the Theater der Jugend and the Ensemble Theater Wien , as well as first roles in national and international TV and film productions such as SOKO Donau , Unser Charly , Auf Wolke 7 and Katharsis . In 2007 she was seen in the daily soap Mitten im 8en in the leading role of Lisa Moizi. In 2008 she played the goose guard Salome Pockerl in The Talisman by Johann Nestroy at the Maria Enzersdorfer Festival . In 2009 she was hired at Theater Scala to appear on stage as Ophelia in Shakespeare's drama Hamlet . In the same summer, again as part of the Nestroy Festival Maria Enzersdorf, she gave the Thekla im Mädl aus der Vorstadt under the direction of Elfriede Ott .

Furthermore, Barbara Kaudelka was seen in the crime comedy Tante Herthas Rindsrouladen, produced by ORF and Sat.1 , alongside Robert Palfrader , Henning Baum and Janine Kunze . This was followed by the ORF / Sat1 production Molly & Mops and, under the direction of Leopold Bauer, Kaudelka also appeared in the second and third season of the series Die Lottosieger . In spring 2012, the Sat1 / ORF thriller Persecuted - The Little Witness was broadcast, in which she and Fritz Karl , Marie Zielcke u. a. was seen. In 2013 Kaudelka made her US film debut and starred alongside Hollywood star Piper Perabo and James Bond villain Simon Kassianides for the Emmy-nominated US series Covert Affairs . In the same year she played in the ORF thriller series Janus , directed by Andreas Kopriva and alongside Franziska Weisz , Andreas Kiendl , Morteza Tavakoli , Christopher Schärf and others. v. m. the assistant of the forensic psychologist Leo Benedikt ( Alexander Pschill ).
