Best young German player in the basketball division

The Best German Young Player (U22) is an award from the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) for the best German young player of a season. The award winner is selected by a committee of experts consisting of the head coaches of the 18 BBL teams, the national coach of the men's national team, the head of sports at the BBL and the BBL managing director. Until the 2010/11 season, the award was called Rookie of the Year . In addition, up to and including the 2012/13 season, the title was awarded to the best young player under the age of 24.

The current winner (2018) is Andreas Obst .
