Bernhard Jülg

Bernhard Jülg (also: Bernhard Juelg , born August 20, 1825 in Ringelbach in Baden; † August 14, 1886 in Innsbruck ) was a German linguist.

Life

Bernhard Jülg studied in Berlin and Heidelberg. In 1851 he was appointed associate professor of classical philology in Lemberg , in 1853 he was appointed full professor in Cracow , and from 1863 he worked in Innsbruck in the same capacity .

Particularly in the areas of comparative research on language and legends, where he also considered the East Asian languages ​​in addition to Sanskrit , he has achieved great merits.
