The Ekimae Real Estate Stadium ( Japanese. 駅 前 不動産 ス タ ジ ア ム , Ekimae Fudōsan Sutajiamu ) formerly Tosu Stadium ( 鳥 栖 ス タ ジ ア ム , Tosu Sutajiamu ) is a football stadium in the Japanese city of Tosu , Saga Prefecture . The facility, which was opened in 1996, is currently the venue for the Sagan Tosu football club from the J1 League and offers spectators 24,130 seats on its four steep grandstands with an incline of up to 40 ° . But it is also used for rugby games or cultural events.
history
The former Tosu Stadium was built in close proximity to Tosu train station from 1994 to 1996. The tracks run directly behind the main grandstand. On June 16, 1996, the first football match between Tosu Futures and Honda FC took place in front of 20,686 spectators . The shape of the venue was adapted to the limited space available on the property. The lower tiers of the back-door stands are equipped with standing room. The playing field made of natural grass has an irrigation system and a drainage system for drainage.
