Bianca Stuart (born May 17, 1988 in Nassau ) is a Bahamian long jumper .
Athletic career
Bianca Stuart gained her first international experience at the CARIFTA Games 2002 in Nassau , where she won the silver medal with 5.30 m. In 2004 she won at the Central America and Caribbean Junior Championships (CAC) in Coatzacoalcos with 5.71 m, the bronze medal in the long jump and in 47.97 s with the Bahamian 4 x 100 meter relay. The following year she was fourth at the CARIFTA Games in Bacolet with 5.76 m and was eliminated from the qualification at the Youth World Championships in Marrakech with 5.68 m. Then she was at the Pan American Junior Championships in Windsor with 5.61 m tenth. In 2006 she won the silver medal at the CAC Junior Championships in Port of Spain with 6.09 m and was eliminated from the qualification at the Junior World Championships in Beijing with 6.05 m. In 2007 she won the silver medal at the Pan American Junior Championships in São Paulo with a width of 6.12 m and the following year she won the CAC Championships in Cali with 6.54 m and also won bronze with 6.37 m at the U23 NACAC championships in Toluca de Lerdo .
In 2009 she was fourth at the CAC Championships in Havana with 6.31 m and the following year she won the silver medal behind the Anguillan Shara Proctor at the U23 NACAC Championships in Miramar with 6.42 m . She also won the Central America and Caribbean Games in Mayagüez with 6.50 m behind Rhonda Watkins from Trinidad and Tobago and the Jamaican Jovanee Jarrett . In 2011 she won the CAC Championships in Mayagüez with 6.81 m and qualified for the World Championships in Daegu , where she was eliminated with 6.44 m in qualification. At the World Indoor Athletics Championships in 2012 in Istanbul she was eighth with 4.71 m and was eliminated from the qualification at the Olympic Games in London with 6.32 m . In 2013 she won the bronze medal with 6.42 m at the CAC championships in Morelia and retired from the qualification at the World Championships in Moscow with 6.35 m. In 2014 she took part in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow for the first time and took eighth place there with a width of 6.31 m.
In 2015 she won the silver medal at the Pan American Games in Toronto with 6.69 m behind the Canadian Christabel Nettey and qualified again for the World Championships in Beijing, where 6.34 m was not enough for a final . The following year she again took to the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in part and retired there with 6.45 m in the qualification of, as well as in the World Championships in London the following year, where 5.91 m not for a finals ranged . In 2018 she was eighth again at the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast with 6.30 m and classified sixth at the NACAC Championships in Toronto with 6.09 m.
From 2008 to 2010 and from 2012 to 2017, Stuart became the Bahamian champion in the long jump every year. She graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale .
