Big Coppitt Key is a census-designated place (CDP) in Monroe County in the US state of Florida with 2,458 inhabitants (as of 2010).

geography

In addition to the main island of the same name, the CDP Big Coppitt Key also includes the islands of Geiger Key and Shark Key , which belong to the Florida Keys . It is located on the Overseas Highway ( US 1 , SR 5 ) and is approximately 10 km from Key West and 230 km from Miami .

climate
