North Key Largo is a census-designated place (CDP) in Monroe County in the US state of Florida with 1244 inhabitants (as of 2010).

The CDP North Key Largo is also the northeastern island that belongs to the Florida Keys , and borders Key Largo in the southwest .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the 1244 inhabitants at that time were distributed over 1657 households, most of which are holiday homes used as second homes. The population density was 25.6 inh / km². 95.9% of the population identified themselves as white , 2.1% as African American and 1.2% as Asian Americans . 0.6% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 0.2% to several ethnic groups. 5.5% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 72.2% of all households lived in 6.1% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 68.0% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 1.88 people and the average family size was 2.18 people.
5.3% of the population were younger than 20 years old, 17.9% were 20 to 39 years old, 17.7% were 40 to 59 years old, and 59.0% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 65 years. 47.3% of the population were male and 52.7% were female.

On the one hand, there is a connection to the mainland via the Card Sound Bridge (County Road 905A). At the Key Largo border, County Road 905 meets the Overseas Highway ( US 1 / SR 5 ), which takes you to Key West (165 km away) and Miami (over the Jewfish Creek Bridge , 80 km away).
