The Bonitas Holding GmbH is an association of service companies of the sick and the elderly based in the East Westphalian Herford . In mid-2016, Bonitas was the largest German nursing service and the largest provider of outpatient intensive care in Germany, with over 3,200 employees at around 40 locations . Lars Uhlen is the managing partner. In 2019, the Bonitas Group was sold by the Luxembourgish Lavorel Medicare to the New York private equity company Advent International .

history

The Bonitas care service was founded in 1995 in Herford by Lars Uhlen, Martina Krutz and Thomas Standare. In the course of time, other care services were founded and taken over and the Bonitas-Holding GmbH & Co. KG was founded.

The Filius GmbH , domestic pediatric care existed since 1990 and is one with the location Oldenburg meantime to Bonitas holding company.

The Mobile Intensive Care and Ventilation Care, founded in Bielefeld in 1992 , was taken over by Bonitas in 2002. These included the Mobile Intensive Care Bielefeld GmbH & Co. KG in Herford and Ibbenbüren and the Mobile Intensive Care Bergisches Land GmbH & Co. KG based in Dortmund .

Since 1993 there have been in Krefeld , the AKS hospital and intensive care GmbH & Co. KG , which is also part of Bonitas holding company.

Bonitas also took over Kerner Intensive Care and Respiratory Care , which was founded in Untermeitingen near Augsburg in 1995 and was based in Kreut, a district of the municipality of Oberhausen (near Neuburg / Donau) . Today it bears the name ANITA Kerner Intensivpflege GmbH & Co. KG and has further branches in Hengersberg and Stockach .

The Vita care service, which has existed since 1995 , is based in Bad Rothenfelde .

The Heinemann nursing service and Heinemann Krankenpflege GmbH & Co. KG have been in Cologne since 1995 .

The majority of the Bonitas company was acquired in 2000 by LVL Medical Group , a healthcare company from France founded by the Lavorel family.

The Vios intensive care and mechanical ventilation was established in 1998 and acquired by Bonitas of 2002. She works in Herford and since 2007 also in Hamburg .

Your assistant in the north was founded in 1998 in Kiel and has been part of the Bonitas Holding since 2007.

On March 1, 2012, the nationwide intensive care service, nursing and care Bettler GmbH, with around 50 patients and around 350 employees, was taken over and renamed Animus Nursing and Intensive Care in Dresden .

COM service

In Bielefeld, Bonitas operates the COM service, with which seniors, the disabled or other stressful people or families are looked after or accompanied at home or in a home. Among other things, the following are offered: Organization and participation in theater and cinema visits, concerts, church services, shopping, eating out, traveling, board and ball games, hobbies and leisure activities, drinking coffee, watching TV, cooking, baking, singing or just listening.

Our little home

Since April 2012, Bonitas has been running an outpatient assisted living community in Herford near the Stuckenberg , “Our little home on the Stuckenberg”, for elderly people in need of care as an alternative to the traditional nursing home. With this type of living and a higher staffing level, the care and housekeeping services are to be designed more individually. In the meantime there is also “Our Little Home” in Belm, Bielefeld, Bünde, Detmold, Hiddenhausen and Rahden.

Karlsson e. V.

In April 2005 in Herford Karlsson e. V., an association for more equal opportunities for children, founded with the aim of helping and supporting children from poor families around Bielefeld and Herford. The main sponsor is Bonitas, which supports the association without administrative costs.

CareLeicht Academy

In Herford and the Bavarian Kreut, a district of the municipality of Oberhausen (near Neuburg / Donau), Bonitas operates conference facilities for the advanced and advanced training of nursing staff.
