Boris Gabrić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Борис Габрић ; born September 13, 1983 in Subotica , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HK Partizan Belgrade in the Serbian ice hockey league since 2008 .

Career

Boris Gabrić, who belongs to the Croatian minority in Vojvodina , began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of HK Spartak Subotica . From 2001 to 2006 he played at HK Vojvodina Novi Sad in the Yugoslav and later the Serbian-Montenegrin ice hockey league. With the club from the capital of Vojvodina he won the Yugoslav championship in 2002 and 2003 and the Serbian-Montenegrin championship in 2004. After a year at HK Partizan Belgrade , in which he became Serbian champions with his club , he returned to Novi Sad in 2007, but has played continuously for HK Partizan Belgrade in the Serbian ice hockey league since 2008 . With Partizan he became Serbian champion nine times from 2009 to 2016. In 2011 and 2012 he won the Slohokej League with the team .

International

For Yugoslavia Gabrić took part in the European division of the U18 World Cup in 2000 and Division III of the U18 World Cup in 2001 and the U20 World Cup in 2001 and 2002 . After the further breakup of Yugoslavia, he took part in the division of the 2003 U20 World Cup for Serbia and Montenegro .

In the men's area, Gabrić made his debut at the World Cup of Division II in 2003 in the Serbian-Montenegrin national team , for which he also played in Division II in 2004 , 2005 and 2006 . He also represented Serbia and Montenegro at the qualifying tournament for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin . Then he was active for the Serbian selection and played with her in 2007 , 2008 , 2009 , 2011 , 2012 , 2014 , 2015 and 2017 in Division II. After the Serbs first achieved promotion at the home tournament in Novi Sad in 2009 , Gabrić played with them his team in 2010 in Division I, but had to accept the immediate relegation.
