history
In the U-21 European Championship qualification 1996-1998 , the Bosnian-Herzegovinian U-21 national football team took part in a qualification for the first time. The first victory in the history of the Bosnian U-21 national team was achieved against Croatia with a score of 3: 1. However, they took 5th place in the group and dropped out.
Until the U21 European Championship qualification 2006-2007 in the Netherlands , the Bosnian youth national team was eliminated every time in the first qualifying round. But this time the team reached 1st place in the qualifying round alongside Norway and Armenia .
In the play-offs you met the Czech U-21 national team. With a goal from Daniel Kolář in the 33rd minute they were 0: 1 behind. Sejad Salihović surprisingly equalized, but Roman Hubník made it 2-1 for the Czech Republic in the 70th minute .
In the second leg at the Koševo stadium ( Sarajevo ) things looked good for the Bosnian-Herzegovinian U-21 national team after the 52nd minute, with Sejad Salihović taking the team into the lead.
