Brad Pearce (born March 21, 1966 in Provo , Utah ) is a retired American tennis player .
Life
Pearce reached the semi-finals at the Wimbledon junior tournament in 1984 , and in the same year he made it to the second round of the US Open junior tournament . He studied at the University of California in Los Angeles and made it to the semifinals of the NCAA championship in 1986 . In the same year he became a professional tennis player and was able to win two tournaments on the ATP Challenger Tour . He also won the doubles tournament in Houston on the side of Ricardo Acuña . The following year he won with Kelly Jones in Auckland . In 1988 he won the Aptos Challenger Tournament .
He never reached a final on the ATP World Tour . His highest individual ranking in the world rankings , he reached number 71 in 1990, after he had advanced to the quarterfinals of Wimbledon, in which he was defeated by Ivan Lendl . This was also his best individual result at a Grand Slam tournament. In total, Pearce was able to win four ATP doubles tournaments, his highest ranking in the doubles world rankings in 1993 with position 24.
After the end of his professional career, Pearce began studying at Brigham Young University , from which he graduated in 1999 with a bachelor's degree. He has been the university's head coach since 2004. Pearce is married with six children.
