The Brunsberg is a nature reserve near the Lower Saxon town of Sprötze in the town of Buchholz in the Nordheide in the Harburg district . The Brunsberg of the same name is located in the nature reserve .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 010 is 60.6 hectares in size. It is surrounded by the landscape protection area Lohbergen, Höllental and adjacent areas ( CDDA -Nr. 322651; 1997; 5.49 km² ).
The nature reserve is located northwest of Holm-Seppensen, which belongs to Buchholz in the Nordheide, and southeast of Sprötze. The nature reserve places a hilltop overgrown with heather under protection.
The area is cared for by plowing and mowing . In contrast to the nearby Lüneburg Heath nature reserve, there is no juniper in the Brunsberg nature reserve .
The area has been a nature reserve since May 28, 1954. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Harburg.
