The beech forests in the Rosengarten are a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Rosengarten in the Harburg district .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 258 is 285  hectares . It is almost identical with the FFH area "beech forests in Rosengarten" and completely from the landscape conservation area " Rose Garden Kiekeberg-Stuvenwald surrounded." The area has been a nature reserve since December 2, 2003. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Harburg.

The nature reserve is located south of Hamburg in the Harburg Mountains . It is of beech forests on wavy moraines back embossed and is part of one of the largest beech forest complex of the North German lowlands . There is an above-average proportion of old and dead wood in the protected area . Parts of the forests in the north of the protected area are designated as commercial forests .
