The two countries do not have any diplomatic missions in the other country. The consular service for Bulgaria in East Timor is provided by the embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia . Petar Andonow has been an ambassador since 2020 .

For 2018, the East Timor Statistics Office does not indicate any trade relations between East Timor and Bulgaria.

Entry requirements

Citizens of East Timor are exempt from the visa requirement for Bulgaria, as is the case with the Schengen countries . Bulgarian citizens also enjoy visa-free travel in East Timor.
