The East Timorese-Czech relations describe the intergovernmental relationship between East Timor and the Czech Republic .
history
The Czech non-governmental organization Czech People for Free East Timor campaigned for the independence of East Timor when the Southeast Asian state was occupied by Indonesia .
Diplomatic relations between the two countries began in 2002 after East Timor regained independence.
In 2004, the Czech Deputy Foreign Minister Jaroslav Bašta visited East Timor. His successor Hynek Kmoníček met President José Ramos-Horta in East Timor in October 2009 . A smaller Czech development project for drinking water production in East Timor was carried out.

They do not have any diplomatic missions in the other country. East Timor has a message in the Belgian Brussels .
The Czech ambassador to Jakarta , Indonesia, is also accredited for East Timor.
economy
For 2018, the East Timor’s Statistical Office reports the import of goods from the Czech Republic to the value of 2187 US dollars. The economic relations of the years before move in a similar framework.

For East Timorese, the Schengenland is visa-free in the Czech Republic .
