The Liechtenstein-East Timorese relations describe the intergovernmental relationship between Liechtenstein and East Timor .

history

From November 10 to 12, 2011, Prince Philipp von und zu Liechtenstein visited East Timor as President of the Board of Trustees of the Prince Liechtenstein Foundation , the owner of the LGT Group . He met President José Ramos-Horta , Prime Minister Xanana Gusmão and other members of the government. A letter of intent should be signed with the Treasury Department to strengthen relations. This included sending program trainers from the LGT Group for civilian employees, as well as investment advice and the exchange of technical know-how.

diplomacy

Liechtenstein does not have its own embassy in East Timor. Switzerland has an embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia .

East Timor has an embassy in Geneva . The ambassador is also the permanent representative at the Geneva headquarters of the United Nations.

economy

For 2018, the East Timor’s Statistical Office does not report any trade relations between East Timor and Liechtenstein.

Entry requirements

Citizens of East Timor are exempt from the visa requirement for the Schengen states .
