Castle Schlupferstadt denotes a Outbound castle at Hoffenheim , a suburb of Sinsheim in the Rhein-Neckar region in Baden-Württemberg .
Presumably, the castle, also known as Hoven Castle, was a moated castle on the site of the Schlupferstadt desert (won "Schlupfert").
In 1396 the castle and the Hofgut were first mentioned in the possession of various lower nobility families and in the late 14th and early 15th centuries they were bought together by the Lords of Hirschhorn , the castle was abandoned , the Hofgut was added to the benefices in Ersheim and later part of it came to the Hirschhorn Carmelite Monastery. In the 16th century the castle was already in ruins.
