The hunting lodge "Sorgefrei" is a hunting lodge on the slope of the Elsenz Valley on the road to Schatthausen on the southwestern outskirts of the municipality of Mauer in the Rhein-Neckar district in Baden-Württemberg . It is one of the smallest feudal buildings in the Rhine-Neckar area .

history

Presumably there was a castle built around 1200 called "Veste Mure" or "Muren" at the site of today's hunting lodge, which the names of some tubs such as "Burgäcker" and "Schlossäcker" indicate and indicate that the castle is not on one Berg had confessed.

The hunting lodge was built in 1788 by Freiherr Karl von Zyllnhardt (1744–1816). Through the marriage of the only daughter of his son of the same name, Karl von Zyllnhardt (1779–1828), the castle came into the possession of the Göler von Ravensburg family .

description

The palace complex is an early classicist two-storey country estate with a protruding central area and a surrounding balcony in front of the second storey. The building has only six small rooms in total. A medallion on the balcony railing shows the builder's initials CZ.
