The castle Reiskirchen is an Outbound lowland castle in the municipality Reiskirchen in the district Gießen ( Hessen ).
The Store family is named as the owner of the castle. If so, it can only be a fortified estate below the church. In the documents it is recorded for 1340: "... Knight Hiltwin von Burkhardsfelden opposite (monastery) Arnsburg renounces the farm in Reiskirchen, located below the church that belonged to the deceased Ritter Store , the so-called Steinwiese and the estate .. . "
The old field names Auf dem Schloßgarten from 1767, Im Burckgarten ( above / Auf dem Burggarten ) from 1769, Am Burgköppel (undated) still refer to the castle site.
