The Postal Queckborn is an Outbound castle in the village church of Queckborn a suburb of Green Mountain in the district of Giessen ( Hesse ).

The castle was probably built in the 12th century by the lords of Queckborn , first mentioned in 1108 and extinct in 1380 , and came to the lords of Strebekoz around 1380. Around 1450 the castle was either destroyed or converted into a church, as indicated by bricked-up Romanesque arches. 1472 received Gottfried von Gonterskirchen called Strebekoz from Landgrave Heinrich III. von Hessen owned (called "stone house") as a fief . In 1830 the last remains of the wall were demolished. During the construction of the new school house in the 19th century, foundation walls and the foundation of a round tower were discovered.
