The Cadre 45/1 World Championship in 1934 was the eighth Cadre 45/1 UIFAB World Championship, which was held until 1938 in Cadre 45/1 and from 1967 in Cadre 47/1. The tournament took place from April 24th to January 28th 1934 in Geneva , Switzerland.

history

In a very balanced world championship, Walter Joachim secured his second world championship title after winning the free game in 1932. He only lost the first game against French Jean Albert and drew against Belgian René Gabriëls. This world championship was the first with an equal number of recordings, i.e. with a push. This made a draw possible. The tournament best performances were with different players, which underpinned the balance of the tournament. Walter Lütgehetmann from Frankfurt played his first world championship in Geneva.

Tournament mode

A final round in the round robin system up to 300 points was played. In the event of a tie in the MPs, the following order is taken:

  1. MP = match points
  2. GD = general average
  3. HS = maximum series
