history

As in 1977, Dieter Müller was the world champion before the last round of the game. With the clear best general average (GD) he could not be knocked off the throne in the last game despite a defeat of 149: 300 against Christ van der Smissen . The third Francis Connesson was also tied . The Argentinian Osvaldo Berardi showed his class as fifth with two tournament bests. For Klaus Hose from Bochum , the home world championship was very disappointing with wins against Schrauwen, van der Smissen and Komori.
