Carolyn Treacy Bramante , also Carolyn Treacy and Carolyn Bramante (born March 19, 1982 in Saint Paul ) is an American biathlete and cross-country skier .

Carolyn Treacy Bramante lives in Duluth and trains in Hanover . She has been practicing biathlon since 1997 and has been a member of the US national team since 2006. The married student competes for Maine Winter Sports Center and Dartmouth College , where she also studies. She is trained by Mikael Löfgren and Per Nilsson.

Treacy made her international debut in 1999 as part of the Junior World Championships in Pokljuka , where she was 52nd in singles. The European Junior Championship 2000 in Kościelisko consistently brought results around 25th place in the individual races. With the season she came in sixth place. The Junior World Championships of the year in Hochfilzen also brought good results. In the individual, the biathlete came in 25th place, in the sprint she was 24th, in the pursuit 16th and 13th with the relay. At the European Junior Championships 2001 in Haute-Maurienne , they were seventh in the sprint and five with the best results in the relay. The Junior World Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk were not quite as successful for Treacy. Best results were a 19th place in the pursuit and eighth place with the relay. Treacy celebrated her greatest international success at the Junior World Championships in 2002 in Ridnaun . There she won the silver medal in the relay competition with Tracy and Lanny Barnes . behind the German team with Jenny Adler , Ute Niziak and Kathrin Pfisterer. In addition, the best individual result came in 17th place over 15 kilometers. For the fifth and last time Treacy took part in a Junior World Championship in Kościelisko in 2003, but without again achieving any results worth mentioning.

In the Biathlon World Cup Treacy made her debut in 2002 in a relay race in Antholz , where she was 13th in the US season with Jill Krause and the Barnes sisters. In individual races, it was only used at major events. The first was the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin . In the competitions of Cesana San Sicario she ran to 80th place in the sprint and was 15th in the relay competition with Rachel Steer and the Barnes sisters. At the Biathlon World Championships in 2007 in Antholz, Treacy Bramante reached 65th place in the individual and 83rd in the sprint . The second time in a World Cup launched the US-American in 2009 in Pyeongchang . At the competitions in South Korea she was 80th in the sprint and 15th in the mixed relay.

In addition to biathlon, Bramante also does cross-country skiing. Here she was mainly involved in lower-class races of the FIS and the Nor-Am Cup in 2004 and 2005 . It achieved single-digit placements several times. At the US Championships in Rumford , she was able to run in the sprint race in 2004 to tenth place.
