Christian Schnalke
Christian Schnalke (born August 9, 1965 in Neuss ) is a German screenwriter .
Life
Christian Schnalke is the son of an architect. After the death of his father, Christian Schnalke lived from 1978 to 1980 with a great uncle who runs the English-language Waterfront Theater in Mumbai (India) . There the play The Snoring Tiger was created . Schnalke then moved to a boarding school in the Black Forest. Schnalke financed his studies in general literature and psychology by simultaneously working as a graphic presentation designer in event and advertising agencies.

In 1992 he broke off his studies in favor of an internship with Frank Elstner in Luxembourg. In the following years Schnalke worked as a permanent gag author for the Harald Schmidt show , for Happiness and for RTL Saturday Night and as an author for various cartoon series, such as Petzi and his friends (1995). In collaboration with Volker Kutscher, the two crime novels Bullenmord and Vater Unser were created . This was followed by a two-year stay in Tokyo with his wife and son, during which the first movie script X-treme was written.
After his return Schnalke wrote the screenplay for the Nick Knatterton cartoon and an episode of the crime series Rosa Roth .
Schnalke took over the scriptdoctoring for Hugo Egon Balder 's work as a director, Silvias Bauch , and wrote the moderation texts for the presentation of the German Film Prize in 1997 for Sabine Christiansen and a year later for Joachim Fuchsberger .
Schnalke also wrote texts for Alles Atze , reworked a story by bestselling author Petra Hammesfahr for the script for Betty - Schön wie der Tod (Director: Peter Keglevic ), (Production: Oliver Berben for Moovie - the art of Entertainment). In 2001 and 2002, Schnalke wrote the two scripts for the Rosa Roth cases, Closed Society and Das leise Die Kolibri , (Director: Carlo Rola ). In 2006, the two Charlotte Link adaptations followed The Deception and At the End of Silence . After Die Patriarchin (2005) the three-part TV series Africa, mon amour (2007), became a great TV success . In 2008 he wrote the template for the comedy Crazy About Emma and the three-part series Krupp - Eine deutsche Familie (2009), which also had very high ratings.
In addition, Christian Schnalke has been leading seminars in the fields of animation and screenplay / directing / production at the International Film School Cologne (IFS) since 2001 .
