Christiane Weber is a former German rower from Hamburg who was twice world champion in lightweight double sculls in the early 1990s .

Weber won in 1988 together with Alrun Urbach at the German Championships in the easy double sculls, then they were nominated for the World Championships in Milan , where they reached the final and took 5th place there. In the following year, the duo won the championship title, at the World Championships in Bled they rowed to the bronze medal.

At the German Championships in 1990 in Duisburg they were defeated by Ruth Kaps and Brigitte Helmers , but since Kaps started in the one at the U23 World Championships , Weber to Helmers moved into the double scull for the World Championships in Tasmania , they finished 5th in the final.

In 1991 and 1992 Weber started together with Claudia Waldi in the lightweight double scull. In both years they were able to win both the German championships and the rowing world championships. They were the first team to do so, even if this record was set by Colleen Miller and Wendy Wiebe in the next three years .

In 1993 Weber had to take a break because she was temporarily paralyzed after an injection for sciatica pain. She was only able to train again in 1994, and in 1996, together with Constanze Ahrendt, she was again German runner-up in the lightweight double scull. Weber, who rowed for the rowing club on the pond meadows , then ended her career.
