Christopher Nell (born December 1, 1979 in Kaufbeuren ) is a German actor and singer . He lives in Berlin .

Career

Growing up in Kaufbeuren, he already had regular stage appearances as a teenager in the youth theater project Kulturwerkstatt Kaufbeuren . He also performed with a rock band.

After graduating from high school, he studied acting at the Rostock University of Music and Theater from 2001 to 2005 . Already during his studies there were first appearances at the Volkstheater Rostock and the Staatstheater Schwerin .

Together with his fellow students Claudia Graue and Marcus Melzwig , he founded the a cappella trio Muttis Kinder in 2003 , which performed with great success in theaters and cabaret stages at home and abroad until the end of 2019. His voice is tenor or countertenor, which he often uses for surprising, sometimes comedic effects.

After his graduation, Claus Peymann hired him to the Berliner Ensemble , of which he was a member from 2006 to 2010 and where he is still engaged as a guest. He has been a freelance actor and singer since 2010. He brings both skills to bear in many productions. In addition, he has mastered many other techniques such as acrobatics, tap dancing, etc., which also flow into his performances.
