Claudia Graue (born December 6, 1981 in Hagenow ) is an actress and singer . She lives in Berlin .

Life / work

Having grown up in Dresden and Berlin, Claudia Graue had regular stage appearances in youth theater projects from the age of 16 and subsequently in the “Hexenkessel Hoftheater” in Berlin.

After graduating from high school, she studied acting at the Rostock University of Music and Theater from 2002 to 2006 . During her studies she made her first appearances at the Volkstheater Rostock and the Staatstheater Schwerin . In her second year of study, she founded the a cappella trio " Muttis Kinder " with her fellow students Marcus Melzwig and Christopher Nell .

After graduating in 2006, she made her debut with the role of Polly in The Threepenny Opera , directed by Johanna Schall at the Rostock Volkstheater. There she remained a permanent member of the ensemble until 2008. During this time, she also directed the Rostock Youth Theater Club.

Graue has been a freelance actress and singer since autumn 2008.

In the summer of 2009 she appeared on stage at the Bad Hersfeld Festival as Käthchen in Heinrich von Kleist's Das Käthchen von Heilbronn , directed by Johanna Schall. She received the Great Hersfeld Prize for her artistic achievement .

From 2010 she devoted herself to singing with her a cappella trio “Muttis Kinder”. In 2011 the trio toured Asia. Since March 2012, “Muttis Kinder” has been to be seen regularly with the program The First Concert in the Berlin bar of every reason . In May 2013 they celebrated the premiere of their program Unpublished Hits there , with which they then appeared on German-speaking cabaret stages. The epic program followed in 2017 , with which they made guest appearances in Canada, among others. They have been performing with their program Greates Hitst since the end of 2018 , for example in 2019 at the Schauspielhaus Bochum and the Schauspiel Leipzig .

In the last Peymann season 2016/17, Graue took over at the Berliner Ensemble u. a. the role of one of the Gretchen characters in Faust , directed by Robert Wilson - music for the piece was written by Herbert Grönemeyer - and the Boy in Shakespeare's sonnets , also directed by Robert Wilson. Rufus Wainwright composed music for this . She also took part in the concert evening Hausmusik under the direction of Herbert Grönemeyer , a musical farewell to the Peymann era at the Berliner Ensemble.

Starting in summer 2019, Graue will work as an actress and singer for the first time as a lecturer for acting / singing at Pop II Go , a workshop funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research for young people whose chances of making music are low due to a social or financial family risk situation .
