Citrus Hills is a census-designated place (CDP) in Citrus County in the US state of Florida with 7470 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Citrus Hills is about 5 km northwest of Inverness and about 120 km north of Tampa . The CDP is affected by Florida State Road 44 .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the then 7,470 inhabitants were distributed over 4,037 households. The population density was 294.1 inh / km². 89.4% of the population identified themselves as white, 2.3% as African American , 0.1% as Native American and 6.5% as Asian Americans . 0.7% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 1.0% to several ethnic groups. 5.3% of the population was Hispanic or Latino .
In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 13.4% of all households and persons aged 65 and over lived in 61.5% of all households. 78.5% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 2.16 people and the average family size was 2.41 people.
