Claudia van Veen

Claudia van Veen b. Brand (born May 15, 1976 in Hanover , Lower Saxony ) is a German actress , singer and presenter .

Life

Claudia van Veen comes from an artistic family. Her father is a director , her mother is a cultural manager . After graduating from high school in Garbsen , she studied human medicine at the Hannover Medical School from 1995 . After six semesters, she broke off her medical studies and began studying singing at the Hanover University of Music and Theater in 1998 with Carl-Heinz Mueller. After an intensive workshop with Yamil Borges , she switched to musicals at the Stage School of Music, Dance and Drama Hamburg .

From 2001 to 2003 she performed at the Musical Theater Füssen in the musical Ludwig II as Cosima von Bülow and as an ensemble swing. In 2003/2004 she sang and played the role of the cheeky, rebellious punk witch Schubia in the children's musical Bibi Blocksberg at the Cocomico Music Theater in Cologne .

In 2004 she played the role of Mary Warren in the play witch hunt at the Chiemgauer Burgsommerspiele ; with this role she appeared in 2005 at the Salzach Festival in Laufen . In July / August 2005 in Salzburg she took on the role of affection in a production of Jedermann at the Hohensalzburg Castle Games .

In 2006 she appeared in the role of Janet Weiss in the musical The Rocky Horror Show at the Dortmund Opera and at the Musical Comedy Leipzig .

In August 2009 she was part of the cast of the premiere of the musical Op een dag in September - A day in September by and with Herman van Veen at the Hermannsdenkmal in Detmold (as a farmer's bride ) .

In July / August 2011 she took on the role of Tracy Lord in the musical High Society at the Lahnstein Municipal Stage at the Lahneck Castle Games . She also sang the song True Love in it .

In 2012 she played the role of Eliza Doolittle in My fair Lady on the new big stage of the Lahnsteiner Burgspiele and, alongside Tanja Schumann, in the tour Never Again Work, the theater guest performances Kempf in cooperation with the Comedy Düsseldorf, the role of Nicole. At the end of 2012 she played the journalist Anabel Ascher in the play Diskretion Ehrensache with Kalle Pohl in the comedy Düsseldorf .

Seen as a dancer in the feature film Dörte's Dancing or Schmitz komm raus . She also played minor episode roles in the TV series SK Kölsch and Die Sitte .

Since 2008 she has also been working as a speaker and presenter, among others for NDR , TVN , Siemens, Vodafone and Panasonic. Claudia van Veen also lectures regularly in the areas of singing, speech training and dance.

Since August 2011 she has been married to Merlijn van Veen, the youngest son of Herman van Veen . They have a daughter who was born in June 2013.
