Coin of the Year Award

The Coin of the Year Award (COTY) is an annual competition for the coin-producing industry founded by the US publishing group Krause Publications . A jury selects the best coins from an earlier minting year in various categories. The COTY ceremony first took place in 1984 when coins from 1982 were graded.
