Little Connie is extremely irritated when she finds her piggy bank smashed and looted in the morning. Her older brother, the teenager Michael, who needs the money to finance his drug addiction, turns out to be the culprit. But not only Connie, also comic heroes of her videos, magazines and books have noticed the theft and penetrate the real world to save the young person from falling into addiction. The film was created under the auspices of Ronald McDonald Children's Aid and various other supporting companies and rights holders. In the intro of the English version, the then US President George Bush senior and his wife also express their support (the German version instead contains an intro with Annemarie Renger , honorary chairman of the supervisory board "Ronald McDonald" Kinderhilfe ).
The film was shown in America for the first time on April 21, 1990 in parallel on the channels ABC , NBC and CBS as well as various smaller stations and was released as VHS home video .
The film was shown on German television at the end of 1990 with a time delay on almost all major channels, and it was broadcast again in 1991. A greeting from Hans-Dietrich Genscher was broadcast on ZDF . There is also a German video for review or training purposes, but the film did not go on sale.
