The Communauté d'agglomération Rambouillet Territoires (before 2017) is a former French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté d'agglomération in the department of Yvelines in the region Ile-de-France . It was founded on December 12, 2003 and last comprised 25 parishes. The administrative seat was in Rambouillet .

Historical development

The community association was originally founded as Communauté de communes Plaines et Forêts d'Yvelines . After several expansions of the member communities, it was raised to the rank of Communauté d'agglomération with effect from January 1, 2015 and then renamed to the current name.

With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged with the Communauté de communes Contrée d'Ablis-Porte d'Yvelines and the Communauté de communes des Étangs and thus formed the successor organization Communauté d'agglomération Rambouillet Territoires . Despite the same name, it is a start-up with a different legal personality.
