Constanze Wagner (born January 23, 1963 in Hofheim am Taunus ) is a German ultra marathon runner .

Career

Constanze Wagner started running at the age of 25 and in 1993 ventured the 100 km distance for the first time. In 1997 she won the Fidelitas night run . The following year she came 13th in the Hamburg Marathon and won the 100 km from Biel . In 1999 she was third in the Swiss Alpine Marathon and sixth in the 100 km European Championships held as part of the Run Winschoten , where she won gold with the team.

In 2000 she achieved the first of five victories in the 50 km ultra marathon Rodgau (more followed four times in a row from 2002 to 2005). She came third in the Seville Marathon and then won the German 50 km Championships and the German Wine Road Marathon . After a third place in the Gutenberg marathon and a second in the Rennsteiglauf super marathon , she won for the second time in Biel. At the 100 km road running world championships she won bronze in the individual standings and gold with the team, and at the end of the season she won the Albmarathon over 50 km.

In 2002 she won the 60 km round around the stone mill and the Fidelitas night run. She was sixth in Biel and eighth in the Swiss Alpine Marathon. At the 100 km European Championships in 2003, she came in 15th place. In 2004 she won in Rund um die Steinmühle, came second in Biel, eleventh in the Swiss Alpine Marathon and fourth in the Albmarathon.

In 2008 she was second in Rodgau and fifth in Biel. In 2008 and 2009 she won the DAHW Memorial Run in Würzburg.

To date, she has completed 41 ultra marathons, including eleven 100 km runs. In 65 marathons she was victorious 22 times, u. a. three times in the Advent Forest Marathon (1997, 1998, 2003), five times in the Hornisgrinde Marathon (1998, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008), four times in the Koberstädter Forest Marathon (1998–2000, 2002) and once each in the Rhine Marathon (1999), at the Bienwald Marathon (2003) and at the Black Forest Marathon (2004).

Constanze Wagner is 1.62 meters tall and weighs 47 kg. She starts for TV Rheinau in 1893. Together with her husband Walter Wagner, she runs the Internet portal LaufReport.de, where, among other things, she gives advice on preparing for a 100 km run.
