In 1378 "Conratsdorff vor der Heide Lusenicz " was mentioned, in 1405 the personal name "Nigkil von Cunradisdorff". Around 1445/47 the place was called the “Rote Kunerstorf”, in 1551 the spelling “Kunnerschdorff”, based on the Upper Saxon pronunciation, was in use. In 1875 the community was called “Cunnersdorf b. Radeberg ”to differentiate between the numerous places of the same name in Saxony. Until the incorporation, Cunnersdorf carried the local suffix “bei Medingen”.

Cunnersdorf was a double row village with a 372-hectare Gelänge - Waldhufen -Mischflur. It was parish first to Grünberg , then to Ottendorf since the beginning of the 20th century. The basic rule exercised in 1551, the manor in Seifersdorf from 1606 and 1764 then the manor Grünberg, the one in the 18th century in Cunnersdorf Vorwerk operation. Administration was the responsibility of the Dresden Office . In 1856 Cunnersdorf then belonged to the Radeberg court office and then came to the Dresden administrative authority , from which the Dresden-Land district emerged . On the basis of the rural community order of 1838 , Cunnersdorf gained its independence as a rural community . In 1920 it was incorporated into the municipality of Ottendorf-Moritzdorf, which one year later merged with Großokrilla to form Ottendorf-Okrilla. After the dissolution of the Dresden-Land district, the community came to the Kamenz district , which in turn was incorporated into the Bautzen district in 2008.
