Curt Heinrich Gottlieb von Arnim also Karl Heinrich Gottlieb von Arnim or Curth Paulino Gottlieb Heinrich von Arnim (born  July 11, 1735 in Sternhagen , † May 26, 1800 in Berlin ) was a Prussian colonel .

Life

Curt Heinrich Gottlieb was a member of the von Arnim noble family from Uckermark . His parents were the heir to Sternhagen, Pinnow near Prenzlau and Zollchow , Otto Friedrich von Arnim († 1754) and Dorothea Elisabeth von Arnim adH Fredenwalde (1701–1776). He was not married and left no children.

Career

Arnim joined the Prussian army on foot as a junker in the guard in June 1751 . He was promoted to ensign in the regiment on November 20, 1755 , after the surrender of Breslau, in January 1758, to secondary lieutenant , after the Battle of Torgau , in January 1761, to prime lieutenant and in May 1771 to staff captain . In October 1772 he became company commander and on August 5, 1779, when he was promoted to major, he was given a grenadier battalion , which was composed of two companies each from the guard and the Prussian regiment. Arnim was wounded twice in the battle of Hochkirch . On December 5, 1786 received the order Pour le Mérite on the anniversary of the Battle of Leuthen . From 1791 to 1800 he was in command of the Invalidenhaus Berlin . He died with the rank of colonel and was buried in the Invalidenfriedhof in Berlin.

Arnim was the heir to Sternhagen, Krullenhaus , Pinnow and 1/2 Zollchow.
