From 1317 to 1553 the village belonged to the Zinna monastery , previously the manorial rule over Dümde was with the knight of Katteritz. In 1642 Dümde burned down and fell desolate . The Slavic settlement form of the village is still recognizable today.

Dümde has always been part of the Kingdom of Prussia . On July 25, 1952, the community was assigned to the newly formed Luckenwalde district in the Potsdam district . After reunification , Dümde was in the Luckenwalde district in Brandenburg . After the district reform in Brandenburg on December 6, 1993 , Dümde was finally assigned to the newly formed Teltow-Fläming district and merged with 22 other previously independent communities to form the new community of Nuthe-Urstromtal .
