The village of Dobbrikow has been one of 23 districts of the Nuthe-Urstromtal community in the Teltow-Fläming district in Brandenburg since December 6, 1993 . The place has 415 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2017).
location
The Pfefferfließ , a 16 kilometer long stream, runs between the villages of Dobbrikow and Hennickendorf . Three of the seven lakes located in the district drain into it : the Vordersee , the Hintersee and the Bauernsee . The Nuthe-Nieplitz-Niederung nature reserve within the Nuthe-Nieplitz nature park extends south to Dobbrikow. East of the village center is the highest point, the vineyard, at around 72 meters .
History and etymology
In 1221 the place was first mentioned as Doberchowe . The origin of the name derives from the Slavic ; however, the interpretation is controversial. Some experts translate the term as dobru for good or dobricowo for valley lake . Local history researcher Noeske refers to dobe chovae , which means something like hide yourself or something well / a good hiding place . Until 1307 the place was owned by the de Trebbin , who lived in the neighboring Trebbin Castle . In the year mentioned Heidenrycus de Trebbin gave the place ville Doberchow to the Zinna monastery . The Cistercians practiced fish farming, agriculture and cultivated vines on the southern slope of the vineyard . In 1480 the name changed to Dobrichow . In 1547 the Reformation came to the place. The existence of a mayor who operated a hammer is recorded from 1568 . This indicates that iron was also processed in the place during this time. After the end of the Thirty Years' War Dobbrikow became Prussian.
In 1745 a tar kiln went into operation. In 1775 the place appeared for the first time with its current spelling. In 1837, craftsmen built a forestry , in 1844 a windmill. With the construction of the Chaussee between Luckenwalde and Beelitz in the years 1900 to 1902 there was also a modest economic prosperity. The first telephone connection was made in 1915, followed by electricity in 1921. In that year, the survivors of the First World War erected a war memorial on the village green. 1993 Dobbrikow was incorporated into Nuthe-Urstromtal.
Economy and education
- The administration of the Nuthe-Nieplitz Nature Park is based in Dobbrikow.
- The “Haus am See” school camp is located in the village and is run by the Teltow-Fläming district.
Culture and sights
- The church was built between 1184 and 1194 as a feudal secular building with a chapel and was only dedicated to the church in the 15th century. It is made of field stone, while the extension and the sacristy were made with masonry bricks in the 19th century, which clearly stand out from the rest of the building. The half-timbered tower was built around 1700. Inside there is an altar from 1648, a pulpit from 1679 and an offering box from the 16th century. This building and the rectory are the monuments of the place (see list of monuments in Nuthe-Urstromtal ).
- Vines have been grown on the vineyard again since 2011 . The extension is based on the medieval tradition of the Cistercian monks. Part of the survey is designated as a FFH area in which rare plant species such as the blood-red cranesbill and the Carthusian carnation thrive.
- There are seven lakes in the Dobbrikows district, one of which is silted up.
